Gerald L. MartinJerry has over 20 years experience as a CFO and Executive Officer in financial institutions, including SEC reporting institutions. Jerry also has over ten years experience as a Director for two SEC reporting financial institutions.

Most recently Jerry was Executive Vice President of BB&T. Before his work at BB&T, Jerry was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Fidelity Federal Savings Bank in Richmond, Virginia. He was responsible for all financial activities including SEC reporting; investor relations, strategic planning; budgeting; and the permanent and trading investment portfolios of the bank. He also supervised the technology areas and chaired the ALCO Committee.

Jerry is a Past Chairman for the Financial Managers Society (FMS) a national professional society composed primarily of Bank CFO's. Jerry also served seven years on the Financial Institutions Accounting Committee (FIAC), a national committee interacting with the FASB, OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, OTS and AICPA on accounting and regulatory issues impacting the financial industry.

Jerry received his B.S. degree in business from Oregon State University. He is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has also held various audit department positions at Touche Ross & Co. with several financial institution clients.
